The story began in 1978, when an Surfer named Brian Smith took a trip to the United States with a bag of sheepskin boots.
After finding a new home amongst the surfing community of Southern California, the UGG Australia footwear brand began to take shape. Acquired by Deckers Outdoor Corporation in 1995, the label rapidly expanded to become the go-to brand for comfortable and stylish sheepskin boots.
