The grand shopping street gets its usual Christmas makeover with strings of lights down the road. The 2016 display was a throwback to Regent Street's first set of Christmas lights, which went up in 1954. The decorations will form one part of a wider display that runs all the way from Oxford Circus to Waterloo Place via Piccadilly and St James's.
