The tower is an impressive piece of architecture and has 72 floors, with a viewing gallery and open-air observation deck on the 72nd floor. At a height of 244.3 metres (802 ft) you definitely can’t miss it!

The Shard is composed of restaurants, a viewing gallery and Shangri-La Hotel. The Shard’s construction started in March 2009 and was inaugurated on 6th July 2012. The View from the Shard, was opened to the public on 1 February 2013. It was designed by the Italian architect Renzo Plano and it’s jointly owned by Sellar Property and the State of Qatar. Irvine Sellar, had a vision to create a striking vertical city incorporating retail, offices, a hotel, apartments, restaurants and a public viewing gallery.
